Honourable Justice
Maureen Nkechinyereugo Esowe

Hon. Justice Esowe was appointed a judge of the National Industrial Court in 2008. She trained as a lawyer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and as a Legal Practitioner at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, Nigeria. In her over 3 decades in legal practice, Justice Esowe has been a Senior State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice, Umuahia, Abia State; a Senior Magistrate I, and later, II, a Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Registrar, and Chief Registrar of the High Court of Justice Abia State. In 2008, she took oath of office as a Judge of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria. She is an active member of the Nigeria Bar Association. Hon. Justice M.N. Esowe is at present, the Presiding Judge of the Calabar Judicial Division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.
